The morpheus8 treatment is carried out under local anaesthetic (topical cream). The procedure is very well tolerated but if you are worried about pain then you can speak to us about additional ways of making the procedure more comfortable.
Before coming for your appointment, you should avoid direct sun exposure and any aggressive skin treatments. It is also advised to come with clean skin free of any makeup or skincare products.
Post-treatment, you should avoid direct sun exposure and use a high-factor sunscreen to protect the treated area. It's also recommended to keep the skin clean and moisturised. We will provide you with a detailed aftercare plan to ensure the best possible results. Remember to tailor these responses to your practice and patient base, and always encourage patients to reach out with any further questions or concerns.
While Morpheus8 is a safe treatment for most people, it may not be suitable for everyone. Individuals with active skin infections or inflammatory conditions in the treatment area, those with a history of skin disorders such as keloids, or those with certain underlying health conditions may not be suitable candidates. A detailed consultation with our specialist, Dr. MJ, will help determine your eligibility.
For the lower face and neck, we traditionally plan patients with combination treatments. Perhaps a treatment plan involving fractional resurfacing with energy devices, some filler to restore volume and even treatments such as Aqualyx for fat reduction might be moderately successful. But the downside is we putting you through a whole range of treatments and the cost is frequently more than you’d pay for a surgical face or neck lift. Some patients don’t want surgery and for them, the Morpheus device is an absolute revelation.
The treatment lasts 12 to 18 months. People (especially women) do not age uniformly. You will notice ageing coming in fits and starts depending on lifestyle and hormones. So you must understand that age related changes are still happening and this treatment cannot freeze time! That said, Morpheus treatment is so successful that many patients simply return for more treatments.
The depth of the treatment is important. Morpheus is the deepest treatment of its kind and this is the reason it is revolutionary and loved by patients all over the world.
After the treatment, patients may experience some redness, swelling or a slight tingling sensation in the treated areas. These side effects are usually temporary and subside on their own within a few days. Most patients are able to return to their normal daily activities immediately after treatment.
Some patients report seeing immediate results after their Morpheus8 treatment, but the most noticeable results usually appear after three weeks, as the skin continues to produce new collagen. The results can continue to improve up to three months after the treatment.
