1. Welcome

Thank you for choosing Dr MJ Clinic.

Our aim is to provide safe, ethical, high-quality aesthetic and wellness treatments in a welcoming and professional environment. These Terms and Conditions explain what you can expect from us and what we ask of our patients to ensure the best possible experience.

By booking an appointment or undergoing treatment with Dr MJ Clinic, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

2. General Information

2.1 Medical Information

Patients are required to complete a medical history questionnaire before treatment.

It is your responsibility to ensure that all medical information, medications, allergies and contact details remain accurate and up to date. Failure to disclose relevant medical information may affect your suitability for treatment and your treatment outcomes.

2.2 Confidentiality

All personal information is handled confidentially and in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

2.3 Respect

We are committed to treating every patient with kindness, courtesy and respect.

We ask that patients treat our team in the same manner. Aggressive, threatening, abusive or discriminatory behaviour towards any member of staff will not be tolerated and may result in appointments being cancelled and future treatment being declined.

2.4 Safety

Patients must follow all reasonable health and safety instructions whilst attending the clinic.

Children should not accompany patients to appointments unless another responsible adult is present to supervise them.

3. Consultations and Treatment Plans

Every patient will receive an individual consultation before treatment.

During your consultation, your clinician will:

● Assess your medical suitability.

● Discuss your concerns and treatment goals.

● Explain appropriate treatment options.

● Explain the benefits, risks and limitations of treatment.

● Provide a personalised treatment recommendation where appropriate.

Attendance at a consultation does not guarantee that treatment will be recommended or carried out.

Our clinicians reserve the right to decline treatment where they believe it is not clinically appropriate or not in the patient's best interests.

Treatment plans and quotations are valid for three months unless otherwise stated.

4. Fees and Payment

Payment is due at the time of booking treatment unless otherwise agreed.

Deposits are non-transferable and are refundable only where cancellation is made in accordance with our cancellation policy or where required by law.

Prices are subject to change without notice, although confirmed treatment plans remain valid for the period stated above.

5. Consent

Valid informed consent is required before every treatment.

Your clinician will explain:

● The proposed treatment.

● Expected benefits.

● Possible risks and complications.

● Alternative treatment options.

● Expected recovery and aftercare.

You will have the opportunity to ask questions before deciding whether to proceed. Some treatments may require separate written consent forms.

You may withdraw your consent at any time before treatment begins.

6. Prescription Treatments

Some treatments offered by Dr MJ Clinic involve prescription-only medicines. A consultation does not guarantee that a prescription will be issued.

The prescribing clinician is solely responsible for determining whether treatment is clinically appropriate and reserves the right to decline treatment where necessary for patient safety.

7. Appointments

Please arrive promptly for your appointment.

If you arrive significantly late, your appointment may need to be shortened or rescheduled to avoid delays for other patients. Cancellation charges may still apply.

If you are unable to attend your appointment, we require the agreed notice period at the time of booking.

Appointments cancelled with less than the agreed notice, or appointments that are missed without notice, may incur a cancellation charge or loss of deposit.

Repeated late cancellations or missed appointments may result in future bookings requiring payment in advance or the clinic declining future appointments.

8. Treatment Outcomes

Every patient responds differently to treatment.

Results vary depending on factors including age, anatomy, lifestyle, skin quality, metabolism, medical history and compliance with aftercare advice.

While we always aim to achieve the best possible outcome, no guarantee can be given regarding individual treatment results or the longevity of those results.

Patients are responsible for following all aftercare advice provided by their clinician.

If you have any concerns following treatment, please contact the clinic as soon as possible so that we can assess your concerns appropriately.

9. Clinical Photography

Clinical photographs may be taken before, during and after treatment.

These photographs form part of your confidential medical record and assist with treatment planning, monitoring progress and evaluating outcomes.

Separate written consent will always be obtained before any images are used for education, marketing or social media purposes.

10. Treatment Finance

Eligible patients may have the option of spreading the cost of treatment through an approved third-party finance provider.

Finance is entirely optional.

Dr MJ Clinic does not provide regulated financial advice.

Any finance agreement is entered into directly between the patient and the finance provider, who is responsible for assessing eligibility, affordability and approving the application.

Patients should ensure they fully understand the terms of any finance agreement before proceeding.

Any cancellation rights relating to finance are governed by the finance provider's agreement.

11. Refunds

Due to the nature of medical and aesthetic treatments, completed treatments cannot usually be refunded simply because the patient changes their mind or is dissatisfied with the cosmetic outcome.

Refund requests will be considered fairly and individually in accordance with consumer legislation and our Complaints and Patient Feedback Policy.

Where treatment has not yet been provided, any refund due will be processed using the original payment method wherever possible.

12. Feedback and Complaints

We welcome all feedback, whether positive or constructive, as it helps us continually improve our service.

If you are unhappy with any aspect of your care, we encourage you to contact us as soon as possible so that we have the opportunity to investigate and resolve your concerns.

Complaints will be handled in accordance with our Complaints and Patient Feedback Policy, which is available on request and on our website.

13. Changes to These Terms

Dr MJ Clinic reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time to reflect changes in legislation, regulation or clinic procedures.

The latest version will always be available on request and on our website.

Thank you for choosing Dr MJ Clinic. We appreciate the trust you place in us and look forward to providing you with safe, ethical and personalised care.
